Great detox program! I lost about 8 pounds and it really got me feeling less lethargic in the morning and during the day. I have more energy, feel less bloated, and crave sweets less. As with any change in diet, the first few days are very hard - but it was well worth it. I don't think it mentions it in the description, so I also want to say that for the 12 days you cannot eat any bread (or products with flour), yeast (including beer and wine), dairy (except butter), sugar (even the "healthy" stuff like agave), or tropical fruits (pineapples, bananas, etc.). There is a very specific list of recommended foods, but it's not too hard to plan for. Just stick to filling yourself on brown rice, quinoa, fish, and plenty of vegetables (and fruits that are allowed).
The wild rose cleanse is one that I absolutely swear by. I do it twice a year as a way to get my body back on track. It really isn't as hard as people make it out to be. The diet is simple, and there's TONS of great recipes floating around :)
A great way to kick start elimination of sugars, flours and that bloated feeling. This cleanse is a go-to for both my husband and I. The cleaner you eat the less the side effects. 12 days isn't too long either. The new cookbook offers so many options and is well laid out.
We do a cleanse at least once a year using this kit and following the food plan. First few days are tough but the body adjusts. I lost the bloat and some weight plus my skin looked really good. Doing this cleanse years ago was how I self discovered a wheat intolerance - subsequently backed up by medical testing. Following the cleanse, it was the addition back of wheat that brought back the bloat.
This is the second time for me to buy it. After Christmas parties, lots of food, I felt lethargic and needed a cleanse. This time, I follow the instructions carefully. It is going well now. When you eat outside, make sure you bring your own food. Otherwise it is hard to follow the food guide. I feel more energetic after a few days, still taking it.
By Day 12, I literally did not have a single craving for anything other than healthy food. If all of this wasn't enough to make me jump with joy, I also lost about 10 pounds, which made it all worth it in the end — good riddance flood belly!
